Free School’s first release!

We’re delighted to announce that our first release will be a cover of P.I.L.’s Order of Death from the film M.A.R.K. 13 / Hardware. This will be featured on From The Stars (Vol. 2) which will be out on Nang Records on 30th May 2011. Looks like its availble for download on Juno now.

From Before

Went to see Waltz With Bashir yesterday here. Its a must-see film that is genuinely must-see. The soundtrack was for the most part by Max Richter who also donated some songs to it. He’s a name that I’ve see written but never heard his stuff until yesterday.

I listen to a wide range of music the whole time – but when I’m doing my own work I really don’t think about other peoples things at all – it is more about following an idea to its logical conclusion than making any references to anyone else…that is not to say there isn’t some overlap in what I do with other artists – obviously there is – but I think different people will hear it differently depending on their own reference points – electronica fans will hear Boards Of Canada, classical aficionados will hear Arvo Part…
